My MQL5 Account Got Restricted – Has Anyone Faced This? Need Advice

Hi everyone,

I am hoping someone in the community has faced a similar situation and can guide me on what to do.

A few years ago, an unknown amount was credited to my MQL5 account via Web money. I have no idea who sent it or why — it just appeared in my account unexpectedly. I never requested it.

I did not withdraw this amount at any point. I only used it to purchase a few Expert Advisors from the MQL5 Market for my own personal trading.

For the last few months, my account has been restricted. I believe this may be because the incoming Web Money payment looked suspicious to the platform. I completely understand why it might appear that way, but I had absolutely no fraudulent intention.

Has anyone here experienced something similar? If so:
- How did you resolve it?
- Is there a specific team or email I should contact?
- What kind of proof or documents did they ask for?

Any advice or guidance from the community would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

So you knowingly and quietly spent someone else's money for your own personal gain and now that the chickens have come home to roost, you allegedly show remorse.

If someone else has faced a "similar situation," they likely won't be confessing it here.

Try contacting the Service Desk, apologizing for what you've done, and offering to repay for your ill-gotten EA's with your own money.

I have already submitted an apology through the Service Desk, but have not received any response yet. I am genuinely willing to cooperate and resolve this matter; I just need guidance on the correct process to follow."
