Many brokers are providing the demo accounts for limited time only. So, ask your broker for support and/or create new demo account with your broker (or any other broker you selected for that).

Did you try closing and restarting the mt5.  if not restart on phone or open an account on mt5 on the phone and try closing from there or computer if it refuses on the phone
