I lost my MT5 trading platform

I was moving the trading platform out of the way since I did need some space and suddenly disappeared. Now I have a big grey window with the bar on the top with file; view; insert chart...and I tried the trick with toolbox ...I even reinstalled the app but didn't help . Anyone now what's going on? I need to see the history and the trade live the balance and the margins... nothing worked...and I have trades live over there..

If you still have your MT5 live trading account login credentials (supplied by your broker-dealer), just reinstall MT5. Your trading account is not married to the MT5 platform.

generally -- you can not move an mt4/5 installation to different folder. At minimum it is very risky thing to do. every mt4/5 install has a key code and encryption key that are linked with not just your hardware, but also your folder placement.

But as ryan has said, your trading account is not locked to a mt5 terminal, therefore, you only have to reinstall mt5 to a new folder, and input your account login details into the new install.

if new install dont work, then, you may need to manually delete the old terminal folders and also your profile files -- AFTER YOU HAVE BACKED THEM UP. And then, try to install mt5 again.

if you insist on having a mt4/5 folder that you can move from system to system, then, search this site for "portable mt5". But even this method, you will have to download your market files again after you have moved this folder to a new system. And this will use up more activations from your bought products.
