As an independent developer, I would like to understand the reasonable pricing range in the current EA market.

Assuming there is a stable and verified live trading record, what is the typical price range for high-end Expert Advisors?

Would it be advisable to start with a lower price to gain user reviews and credibility, and then gradually increase the price over time?

It's all about generating web traffic. The more visitors that you drive to your listing, then the more visitors that you can convert to buyers, and so the more that you can charge.

If you're selling a lifetime license, raising the price for new buyers makes sense. If you're selling a rental license, price increases can create buyer resentment upon renewal.

To be clear, traffic drives price--not the other way around.

High-end, to me, is 1000 USD to 10,000 USD.
