I am experiencing a persistent issue with MetaTrader 5 running on Linux (currently Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon, but also tested on Arch) via Wine 10.
The Problem: When modifying a transaction or an alert on the chart using the drag-and-drop method, the object is lost if the cursor stops moving for even a split second.
If I move the mouse and drop very quickly, it works.
If I slow down or pause for precision, the object is immediately released, and I have to start the process over.
Key Observations:
This only affects order lines (SL/TP/Entry) and alerts.
Other graphical objects (rectangles, trendlines, etc.) work perfectly fine with drag-and-drop.
The issue persists on both X11 and Wayland.
I have tested this using the official MetaQuotes installation script, as well as via Bottles.
Changing Wine versions, environments, or installing various libraries hasn't resolved the issue.
Has anyone encountered this behavior or found a workaround/override in Wine configuration to fix this "auto-release" bug?
