I understand that it exists for iPhone, but for Mac, it's still through wine.hq... but why has the MQL team never made a native version for Mac?
In the trading industry, there's predominantly Windows and then... there's everything else. Linux is basically in the same boat as Mac.
I wouldn't really compare iPhone nor Android MT5 to Desktop MT5--more or less apples to oranges.

In that case, you would have MT5 Mobile on your Mac. They are quite different, hence, apples and oranges.

Desktop terminal and mobile terminal are quite different ones (mobile terminal is having limited functiopnality compare with desktop terminal).
Some traders are using mobile Metatrader just to watch the open/close trades when they are not at home at the moment.
