Why Authors can’t Know who downloaded Their Products?

Sometimes, traders purchase an Ea or indicator but never request the set file or supporting utilities, even when the description clearly mentions to contact us for them. The same happens with free tools that require an external utility  users often just download without reaching out to the author. Unfortunately, we can’t know who exactly purchased the product or downloaded the demo,we only see the country where the tool was downloaded from. Because of this, we can’t directly provide the additional resources or support  even if we’ve created a private or public group for that purpose?

Avoiding spam is important. However, if a user finds anwanted message , they can simply block the sender in the chat.

"spam" means "unsolicited", not just "unwanted". If they did not ask to be contacted, then you should not be sending them anything in the first place. If you do then you are a "spammer" and the system is doing its job of limiting you from doing just that!

Did you not read the Market rules?

Each country where a Buyer resides has its own financial/transactional regulations, and then potential international issues may exist as well.

In this rare instance, I'm content to continue on in ignorant bliss as a Seller. Intent to do anything wrong requires knowledge.

I understand your explanation, and thank you for clarifying. I’m not trying to send unsolicited messages. I was simply asking why such a strict limitation exists. Sometimes both sellers and non-sellers may genuinely want to exchange feedback...

Your explanation is flawed and the very reason why the restriction in in place. Please don't give excuses.

If a buyer wants to "exchange feedback" or be contacted, then they will either leave a review, or post a comment, or contact you in private.

Other than that, then it means that they want no contact with the seller!

If the purpose is just avoid spam this is not guaranteeded.

In the momment a user leaves a review or comment in the product page, the seller comes to know about the buyer.

I'm not criticizing anything, i just wanted make this remark.

Yes, but another perspective to your point.. if sellers knew who buyers are they might hound them to leave reviews.

Buyers should not be bothered in this way. They should only leave a review if they feel like it.

I actually prefer it this way as a seller also.

Sometimes a buyer will approach me saying that they didn't want the product anymore. And then ask for a refund. Or ask if they could exchange for another product.

Or some other accounting issues.

This buyer/seller blackbox allows me to say that mql5 does not give me any buyer info. Then I redirect them to the TOS refund policy section.

And I tell them I can only provide support and bug fixes.

It takes away a big weight off me so I can stay focused on making products better. And not worry about buyers or any accounting related problems.
