MT5 very slow to install

This sounds like an installation issue as opposed to a download issue. Therefore, I would look to the pc to troubleshoot it--not the internet service.
And no, to answer the OP's question. Installation is almost as fast as downloading on my 1000 Mbps Ethernet connection. I'm only running an Intel Core i7 pc--nothing special. Technically, it's a "gaming" desktop pc dedicated to trading.
