There is no "best EA" in trading. It always depends on market conditions and risk management.

Instead of looking for the best EA, you should focus on:
- Strategy type (trend, grid, hedge, scalping)
- Drawdown control
- Consistency over long-term backtest

In my experience, risk management is more important than the EA itself.
 

In my opinion, the best EA should be chosen based on your own expectations, and ideally, you should know what kind of trading style you are looking for.

For some people, even a martingale EA can be very useful. It all depends on the user’s level and what they are looking for.

However, in general, a good EA should:

  • Prove itself over time
  • Avoid creating large drawdowns (DD)
  • Accept that losses and stop losses are part of the game, but still maintain a positive long-term performance, even if some days or months are not profitable

It is also very important that the developer continues to provide support and keeps the EA updated according to market conditions.

Because you cannot expect a single EA to be developed and then outperform all financial markets forever. That’s why continuous updates and support are essential.

I agree with you but I also think that buying EAs and trusting them should always be taken with a grain of salt

There's no best. You should choose the EA based on your capital size (in first place) and the strategy (in second place). You don't choose EAs based on reviews or ratings or hype!

Each one is different. It is like deciding what vehicle you want to take. A motorcycle and different benefits than a car, or truck, or airplane. You have to decide what your needs are.
