Do signal links in product descriptions need to be hyperlinks?

I had a full link to my signal in my product description and when I removed the link, my product rating improved. Does this mean my link has to be a hyperlink or am I not allowed to put links in my description?

It said "Live Signal is available here: " followed by the URL to the signal

A few hours after removing that line, the "bad description" status went away.

try selecting the "Live Signal" text and add a link by clicking the url button.

Ive done that for manuals it was never penalized

Thank you I wasn't aware that was how it worked. I'm going to update that in my description.
