Extra update ... turns out my performance issues were *not* due to any MT5 changes. Root cause was a setting change in my EA to use a new feature (I expected *should* have boosted speed) that coincided with the 5120 release. Turning that off restored previous performance with the same settings. Now I just need to work out how to get the new feature going faster & using less CPU-RAM bandwidth.
Now, if only Metaquotes would restore the 3D chart results viewer to its previous useful state, vs the current one where ALL useful detail you want to see is utterly washed out by the BAD colour choices made! The previous checkerbox pattern had a VERY good reason behind it" you could actually see & work out *EXACTLY* where you were looking at! Not so any more!
