In this article, we enhance the original Quarters Script by introducing the Quarters Board, a tool that lets you toggle quarter levels directly on the chart without needing to revisit the code. You can easily activate or deactivate specific levels, and the EA also provides trend direction commentary to help you better understand market movements.
As mentioned in the introduction, this tool allows you to toggle which levels appear on the chart without needing to return to the code to edit a Boolean flag. The Quarter Board is an expert advisor that features four buttons: Large Quarters, Small Quarters, Overshoot/Undershoot, and Trend Direction. Pressing any button toggles its corresponding level: the button's text turns green when the level is active, and red when it is turned off.
The Trend Direction button is an additional feature that provides real-time market insights. With just one click, it calculates a 50-period simple moving average and compares it against the current market price, helping you quickly determine whether the market is trending upward, downward, or moving sideways. The button even changes color to show its active status, providing a clear and user-friendly method to monitor market trends directly on your chart. Let's refer to the following section to understand the core logic behind our EA's functionality.
