An interesting topic. Unfortunately I don't have a time at the moment but I had an idea that I would like to write down for future testing. Implement a large window scaling like the one you currently have done by giving scaling dimensions like hard limits using min max normalizing. However, baseline calculation would only give it a weight of 50% for example. The other part of the weight would come from the baseline short period analysis and that would give another 50% weight. This would then sum up where the price is in the big picture, and add to that the price in the short term momentum....
