IP is being blocked - page 2

Most traders have a an internet service provider (ISP) that assigns dynamic IP addresses, like I do. In that case, assigned dynamic IP addresses are subject to change and recycled by the ISP. If your ISP and your modem-router support dynamic IP address leases, you can change your own assigned IP address regardless of the reason for an IP address ban. In that case, your IP address lease settings are generally in your modem-router firmware's advanced settings. Log into you router-modem using your administrator login and password, and navigate to those settings. The IP address lease term generally defaults to 2 days (48 hours) or so. Make a note of the currently assigned IP address while you're in there.

Change the IP address lease term to 5 minutes, save the new setting, log out of your modem-router firmware, unplug the modem-router from its power supply for 6 minutes, and then plug the power supply back into the modem-router. Log back into the modem-router firmware, and inspect the newly assigned IP address. I should be slightly different than the previously assigned IP address.

I have used this method several times and it has never failed. Of course, first make sure that any services that you're using don't require static IP address verification─such as some technologically inept prop firms do.

There are plenty of valid uses for a VPN, but logging into mql5.com shouldn't have to be one of them.
