- open more than 20 MT5
- MT4 not working with Windows 8
- Cannot change data in Inputs (MT5)
Windows limits the number of simultaneous MT5 instances. You can try to use separate installation folders for each MT5 (ensure plenty system resources are available).
i believe that windows has a limit on the number of instances of every app/program that you can run and install from the programs folder.
But you can create more, portable folders of mt4/5 by placing the portable folders of mt4/5, into a custom folder that is outside of the programs folder(s) -- for example C:\MoreTerminals\
dear team please any advice for the below issue that im not able to open more than 8 mt5 on my machine
There is a technical maximum limit of a 32 MetaTrader terminals running on the same windows account (which is well beyond the 8 you have reached).
However, most of the time a lower physical limit is reached before that, based on the resources consumed by each terminal setup, which can be seen by the errors being reported in your Journal log.
Don't assume that RAM and CPU are the only resources being consumed. There are also file handles, graphics handles, network resources, number of active threads, and even DLL and Windows API usage.
The more charts you have open, with Indicators and Expert Advisors running on each setup, the more quickly the physical limit is reached.

...for starters, WS 2016 has much limitations on itself where the newer WS's dont.
You have not described why you want to have more terminals. And as you should have read in your research when you searched this website, before you created this thread -- always use metatrader that is downloaded from a broker, -- NEVER use the installer from this website for reasons that you should have read about already.

im using ws 25 and also im using the mt5 from the broker what else?
in your original message you said you had 2016.
If you tell us why you want more terminals. maybe we could suggest how to reach your goal.
for example: if you wnat to run backtests with 1tb of memory, then, it would almost certain to be faster to run and install a portable terminal from a ram disk.in your original message you said you had 2016.
