I am interested to rent the MetaTrader VPS mainly to get Push Notifications from an indicator I developed.

Yes it works, but you should know that you can't migrate only an indicator to MQL5 VPS, you will need to migrate an EA also, so attach any harmless EA on another chart, like one from the default EAs that are available in the MT4 terminal.
