custom indicator vs indicator
That's a bit cryptic.
My thinking is that technical indicators are always available to an expert advisor whether or not they are loaded into the expert's window.
Custom indicators either can't be used by experts (as mentioned in the Custom Indicators help) or they must be dragged into the window for them to work with an expert on the same window.
I suspect that the pre-defined technical indicators are dynamically or pre-linked into expert advisors in a way that custom ones aren't. It may be as simple as moving the custom indicator into the technical indicator folder to fix this.
That's my guess anyway.
