Concern about using closed source product

Hello. Suppose a closed source product's source code be released in public comments section by the author himself/herself.
Would using the source code to create another product referencing the original developer violate any rules?

It is a closed source tradingview indicator. The guy published the code informally in comments section. But I realized the code he shared is manipulated. He is not willing to share the true source. So my issue is somewhat resolved.
