Is there a reliable, proven, prop firm EA? - page 4

John Taylor:
Has anyone actually used an EA for passing their prop firm challenge and maintaining their prop firm accounts over a long period of time? If so, do you have proof? Trade history on myfxbook, for example? Thanks!
Most traders who claim to pass prop firm challenges with EAs struggle to maintain those accounts long‑term, since most firms detect and restrict automated trading. Verified myfxbook proofs are extremely rare, and people who claim to have them almost never provide credible links.

Trading with EAs on prop firm is definitely possible but you have to follow certain specific (non exactly written) rules:

1) one strategy , one asset , one timeframe
2) low number of parameters

The main point is that the strategy has to be simple and replicable easily by a live trader.

The catch? These EAs are rarely profitable and usually don’t make the cut. My experience is that anything more complex (either multi-strategy or multi-asset) generally gets closed out.

There is no universally proven EA for passing and maintaining prop firm accounts. Most successful traders use private strategies and do not share results. You should research, backtest, and focus on strong risk management, as no EA guarantees consistent success and scammers are common.

Go with single entry EAs with strict TP and SL for every entry, risking way less than the drawdown limit so that you won't blow your account instantly.
