Creating Demo Accounts and Activating/Deactivating Real Accounts using MQL5 ?

Hello fellow traders!

I'm currently exploring the possibilities of using MQL5 for account management in MetaTrader. I have a couple of questions regarding account operations, and I was wondering if anyone here could provide some insights:

  1. Is it possible to create a demo account/real accounts programmatically using MQL5?

  2. Can I use MQL5 to activate or deactivate real trading accounts?

I appreciate any guidance or examples you can provide. If you have any relevant resources or documentation, that would be great too.

No, and no. You need a broker to create or deactivate accounts of either type.

The website is dedicated to the MetaTrader client terminal and retail use of the platform.

What you want to do, belongs in the realm of the broker's side of things, which is not possible from a client terminal.

How do I get in contact with my broker?
a few months ago last year I was using the meta trader 5 app account and I was doing demo trading to try to learn how to trade and everything and this year 2026 of this month, when I tried to log back in and using my login details, it would not sign me in. It was saying something about failure connection or something but basically I couldn't access my account. And I tried to make another or register for another account and was trying to use my same phone number that I used to register for my previous and it wouldn't let me go through.

maybe the broker has gone broke. search google with name of your broker.

In order for me to find that do I need to find the name of the investor or something when I created the account or is it the meta demo account thingy for the server or something I'm just trying to understand still.

as a rule, your broker is always your first point of contact. I thought when you said "use my same number", that you tried to call them on the phone.

But if you used a phone app, it could be a brokers app, but if the icon is just mt4/5 icon, then, is probably just mq demo. I believe that those only last 30 days anyhow.

Many brokers are providing the demo accounts for limited time only. So, if it is your case - just open an other demo account with your broker.

If you connect your MT5 to Metaquotes-Demo server/account so it means that you are beta tester of new builds of Metatrader. If it is not so you need to find the broker and open the demo account according to the condition of it.

Where Do I start from?

Find Metatrader broker (there are a lot of Metatrader brokers, use google to find), and open the account according to their condition on their websites.
Try with demo first.

I did say something a little confusing but I think you know exactly what I am referring to. so I definitely appreciate the pointer and the heads up on that.

So if I am trying to register for a new account but I cannot use the email that I used to make the previous one how would I be able to register bc don't have too many emails to use except my Gmail, bc that's what I used.

I have an account on this website the specific URL for mql5 but I cannot access my account still for metatrader 5 app I left my previous account is basically deactivated completely as you mentioned.

I found my login information, from the past few months last year.

Tried to login again....seems I definitely have no more account then. I only got 1 email, and that was the one I used to sign up.
