winapi dll sandbox question

Just wondering if I use the functions from winapi dlls can I copy files outside of the MQ sandbox?

I am thinking about practicing some basic Windows functions and just checking if it makes sense to go further in that direction right now.

Yes. DLL calls have no sandbox.
