Debug network problems

Is there a way to debug network problems? I have a MT here which disconnects quite often and seems to be quite slow on data transfer. Also in the status line at the right where network traffic is shown as xx/yy KB the right number (yy) rises faster than the left one, where on another computer yy remains zero.

In a network trace I see packets between my computer and mail.metaquotes.ru but the packets are https so I can't see what's inside.

Is there something I could do to check what may go wrong there?

Hello!

Doesn't help ... I now have a demo account at interbankfx, but the problem remain (slowness and more sending than receiving).

Any other ideas how I could find out what the program doesn't like on that machine? Is there a way to generate a debug log or trace the network traffic (my traffic monitor just shows https connections but obviously the stream is encoded).

Also, it can't be our company firewall because another computer in the same network works fine.

Shimodax,

Try replacing your network cable, or plug the network cable into a different port on the switch/router. That will allow you to troubleshoot two potential problems.

My laptop works okay on the same cable (plugged it from my PC into the laptop) so that's most likely not the problem. Also, downloads from the internet etc. and https connections to other sites via browser also work fine.
