Does MetaTrader5 install on Raspberry PI 4 (Any Linux ARM)

Hi All,

Before anyone advice check this and that, i have already explored and getting to the point it does not support or FAILED to install due to error "A debugger has been found running in your system....", i tried Raspbian OS 64-bit and also 32-Bit no luck. Other wine related software works well, only the Metatrader FAILS to install.

To add on i tried refering to the article https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/168234#comment_4048954 (Look to be old article, but does not point what is the root cause)

And, also also this article stated in Wine https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=19984 (Understand they talking about Intel or AMD processor not ARM )

Did you try installing MT4 ? I am also interested using Raspberry system both hardware and OS for running the metatrader.

If the application runs with out any issues, we can use it as a low cost fulltime running machine instead of server. Running the application on a server has its own advantages but still can be considered as a low cost alternative.

mostly discussing on intel or amd processor not arm. and forum is old. i managed to install on VM. but was exploring arm64 to work.

Do you mind installing windows on it.. The below video shows how to install windows directly on raspberry pi.

After installation you can install MT4/MT5 depends on your choice. 

If it works well.. good

Well, I spent the last few days messing around this (about 30 hours or so).

This can be done by simply installing https://github.com/Botspot/bvm There's an installation method within Pi Apps too.

After that, follow the steps to install Windows 11 (it's all free) and then open up Microsoft Edge and download MetaTrader 5!

I spent so many hours messing around with exagear, FEX, arm64ec, and many many more libraries.

BVM is the only solution that has worked (as of July 21st, 2025).
