the title is exactly the issue. I have downloaded tick data from a source and would like to use it also for an other broker i.e. an other MT4 installation. Where do I store the tick data in MT4 or Windows?

MT4 does not store long-term historical tick data, nor does it use it for charts. It only uses current tick data for live trading.
Only with the aid of 3rd party tools can you use external tick data for back-testing, so you will have to request support from the authors of those 3rd party tools on how to apply that tick data.
