Tick data MT5 - page 2

@Jorge Blanco Iniesta #But then i decided to download dukascopy data and create custom symbol, and then results are not good. Am I missing something?

To test a against a Custom Symbol, you should make sure that it is built using both M1 OHLC data as well as real tick data. Make sure that the tick data does not mismatch the OHLC data, otherwise the tester will simply ignore the tick data and generate virtual ticks. Also make sure that the symbol specifications match the data it was built on.

@Jorge Blanco Iniesta #Only way to find out, i guess, is to do a live forward test ???

Yes, that is truely the most important step of testing an EA's robustness.

Dukascopy’s data may differ because your broker uses different liquidity sources. To match it, ask your broker directly about their data provider or check their site. Some brokers offer their own historical tick data—use that for best accuracy

Hi, i downloaded tick data from dukascopy, to get 100% quality, but it doesnt match real trades, while the mt5 symbold does. So i assume dukascopy doesnt match my brokers quotes or something? How can i know what source my broker uses so that i can download it?

Thanks!

Make sure you use Metatrader data format while creating custom symbol based on Dukscopy Tick data. Format for Dukascopy and Metratrader5 Format interchange Ask and Bid column. this could be probable reason for mis-match.
