It would be nice to add to the symbols a history of the most liquid SME futures with real exchange volumes, so you don't have to scour the internet and import them manually.

I support this opinion.
I believe that the main advantage of MetaTrader 4 over MetaTrader 5 is the ability to work with your own history files in the tester, custom/offline charts.
+ I would like very much to be able to choose any period (type) of chart (and any value in numbers) as in NinjaTrader 7 and trade and test on it in the tester.
And a time scale in milliseconds (seconds) in trade and tester.

This is not the first time I have had to hear miracles from broker's helpdesk.
There is no limit to the tick flow rate and it all depends on the speed of external data feeds.
But it is not uncommon for brokers to filter price flows themselves and do stabilisation/quantization, limiting the flow of quotes per second, so as not to create problems with requotes due to fast flow.
