Юрий, да тут дело не в переплате за спред, это я просто написал, к делу..
Тут дело в том, что открываясь разнонаправленно по парам GBPUSD и EURUSD (или однонаправленно напр. по EURUSD и USDCHF), даже при условии, что между ними высокая корреляция, вы в хедж не входите - вы просто торгуете кроссом. Только через доллар, переплачивая за это. Вот ради интереса, откройте график по кроссам и увидите, что все ваши прибыльные сделки за сегодня были открыты в направлении кросса. Иначе, был бы убыток.
Stat Arb с валютами отлично реализовал и выложил в исходниках getch, за что ему огромное уважение.

By the way, what if we do not open two opposite positions in the EA, but open one cross position in the direction that is specified by the conditions, which currency we sell and which we buy. It will wait for both ups and downs to appear on the story, and synchronously on both pairs. I.e. he takes two sections of 30 bars and another 30 bars. If one of the segments demonstrates growth and the other one demonstrates decline, he/she calculates the situation in such a way that both segments should be profitable, i.e. regardless of growth or decline, the profit should be formed - this is the basic strategy.
If there is a growth or a fall in both segments, the Expert Advisor opens nothing and bides its time. It is impossible to calculate anything by the trend because it can easily change. Therefore, only a part of the trend and the pullback are taken for the calculations.
Кстати, а если в советнике не открывать две разнонаправленные позиции, а открывать одну, по кроссу, в том направлении, в котором указывают условия, какую валютупродаем, какую покупаем. Тогда получится то жеамое, просто сигнал на открытие позиции по кроссу будет задаваться комплексом валют, в него входящих. Я вот пока к такой мысли прихожу.
