A trillion dollars - how much is that?

The forex market operates with volumes of $3-4 trillion a day. And what does that trillion American dollars actually look like?

Let's start with a $100 note:

Here's a wad ($10,000):

1 million - 100 stacks:

100 million fits on one warehouse pallet:

It takes ten pallets to fit one billion dollars:

And now, ladies and gentlemen, may I present:
ONE TRILLION U.S. DOLLARS!

To house one trillion dollars in $100 notes requires a room the size of a football field.

And note, the pallets are stacked on two floors.

For ease of visualisation: look closely - in the picture on the left there is a man standing in the corner.

3-4 of these fields a day, that's quite a lot:)

The nice thing is that a couple of pallets fit in a room and don't take up much space :)

one row please

one row please

only I haven't decided whether it's the length or the width)

Interestingly, in Forex, private players (traders) mostly engage in the first picture - just over (or just under) $100.

Players with $10,000 invested in the game (the second picture) are much less common.

Players with an amount invested in the game in the third picture... Hmm, hmm...

I wonder how many metres it would be in a column of ZIL-130s, or better AMOs?

Better in GOLD.

And now that we're here dancing the tango,
You're a boomerang from me to me,
I'm a captain with no capital and no rank,
I say to you, "Anything can happen, anything can happen"...

The diagonal looks prettier...

one such field is enough for me))))
