Greetings, friends. I hope you're all doing well. I'm posting this in order to fill a void. When I try to install "MetaTrader 5" on my Windows 10 PC, I get an error notice that says "problem opening file for writing." Is there anyone who can assist me in resolving this issue? Any and all recommendations will be greatly welcomed.

Maybe you can uninstall and try another source of download.. Probably the file is corrupt..

 

Thank you for responding. I've already tried the methods you mentioned. However, the problem remains the same. I also tried searching for a solution to this problem on Google and came across this (https://digicruncher.com/error-opening-file-for-writing/). But I'm not sure if this trick is safe or not. Please make recommendations for me. I've attached a screenshot of the problem.

Are you sure that is an official MT5 installation? That executable file is not part of an MT installation (at least I've never seen it being used before).

Is this an installation file obtained from the MetaQuotes site? — Download the MetaTrader 5 trading platform for free

 

HI!, my broker shifted my account to another server, previous server name was futurefx and recent server name is FortuneFX-LIVE,, whenever I am going to login it errors me as "no connection to fortunefx" "disconnected from fortunefx" but if I change my internet connection then it allows me to login and all charts and other activity runs very well.....I have formated my computer, reset my internet modem, reset my router, uninstall reinstalled the MT5 but the problem is same and equal...

is there solution??? so that I can use it using my existing internet connection?

search MT5 in windows search bar if you find MT5setup.exe, right click it, select Run as administrator,,,, hope it will work
