Can backtest results be too good to be true? - page 3

 
In most cases, backtesting should be able to produce good result. Whenever you find a strategy, you must check it with the market to find out how effective this strategy has been. However, you may find a bit different scenario when apply it in your live account at the beginning. As time goes by, you will be able to deal with it in the live market as well.
 
The results can go both ways, can be too good or too worse to be true, I know what you might be thinking.... well the strategy has to make sense but guess what without fundamentals in place, all the strategies in forex markets makes sense even the strategy to buy randomly can give good results on the strategy tester.
I honestly believe that we need to focus on money managements in our programs since that is the only thing that we have control with
