The optimization results window shows currently a column listing max. equity DD in %. This value is taken from the event of maximum equity DD in money.
I'm asking if there is a way to list the max. equity DD in %when this parameter is in fact the maximum in the optimization period. Can the output columns be changed somewhere?
To give an example:
Say an EA has a DD in money of 8.000 at an account balance of 10.000, then its 80% relative equity DD at that point in time. Assume this is the highest relative equity DD in the entire test period.
The same EA might have the max. equity DD of 20.000 in money while the balance has grown over time to 100.000, giving the max. DD in % in the optimization output as only 20%.
So the optimization output of the relative equity DD is misleading ... the correct assessment of the EA is that it causes max. 80% equity DD, not just 20% what the output window shows.
I hope I could explain well. Thanks for feedback.
