Bot operation on MetaTrader

If I make my own bot, and close my account (logged of) on metatrader, does the bot continue operating? Or does it only operate with the account logged into metatrader?

Can I have more than one account logged in metatrader ? It's just that I can only have 500 lots per order per account.
 
Im sure you talk about demo, take a demo account with a normal amount of money
