how can I get MT4 to show a Weekly chart back further than 19 years
thanks
You can find the broker which is proposing 19 year data for traders.
Because the data/datafeed, the charts, the price on the chart, the name of the symbols on the chart, and symbols and the time of the price on the chart - all of them are related to the brokers only.

I am using this procedure all the time:

I decided to create this thread to help to myself and to the others to start with Metatrader 5...
thanks for your advice
i'll have a look at it
If you don't have any history, here's how you can get all available from your broker.
- On MT4: Most brokers only have 32 or 65K bars of history per timeframe. That's 45 days of M1, 2.5 years on M15, etc.
- Quickly DL all available history from your broker: Problem loading historical data - MQL4 programming forum 2010.03.16

recently I bought some MT4 compatable D1 data --standard DDMMYYYY OHLC --
data length -== about 40 years
MT4 shows me a DAILY chart of the whole data going back 40 years -- however when I try to convert it to WEEKLY ( W1 )
it will only show backto mid 2002 ( about 19 years )
MT$ converts it's own daily data ( shorter length ) into weekly ok, so why won't it convert all of mine
how can I get MT4 to show a Weekly chart back further than 19 years
thanks
