simple correlation of the number of profitable trades with the number of losing trades is meaningless, as it is not flipping a coin with 2 variants of the result.
The simplest answer is a matter of taste.
But it is not so and you do not act like that in your article.
When you select indicators, you use the "influence" of indicators on price movement, and this is a frequency indicator, a relative one, which has nothing to do with the ratio of price gains (profit/loss). I will note that this is a standard in statistics.
Since we are interested in an Expert Advisor, not in price selection, it is quite natural to use a tester, and even more so the results of reals.
