I'm an old man. I started trading on Forex about fifteen years ago. Now, if you superficially search for information about Forex, you will be told something like this: " There is no organisation that manages the Forex market. Where is the central office of Forex? Forex market does not have a central office and cannot be. Transactions are made on the interbank market directly between the seller and the buyer. There is also another option, when transactions are made by brokerage companies. So, there is no central Forex office, the Forex market is self-governing and decentralised. As a rule, trading in the Forex market takes place with the help of intermediaries - brokerage companies, which provide traders with the necessary tools for work. Speaking about such companies, we can mean central offices and branches. Representative offices and branches of such organisations are scattered in different countries. "
And at the time when I started, there was still information about the history of Forex, the company or group of companies - the first owner of Forex, in what year and to whom it was resold. Obviously it was about the first or the biggest platform, because a few years later there was information that Forex consists of about five independent main platforms and they were listed. There is a slight difference in the rates on these individual sites. And there are companies that specialise in arbitrage operations between these platforms - this is their business - which helps to level out the difference in rates. I was interested in Forex only from the practical side as a trader, so the details of such information did not stick in my head.
