Hi guys, I have a question.
I wanted to ask, what data is showing MT4 in the normal trading window and how far (date) and real is the data shown there?. When you open a new symbol and chart, it instantly shows the data of the market and its price, now I want to backtest a strategy which involves using an indicator in the same live window used for trading, I´m going as far as 3 years back to test it, I want to know if the data shown back there is reliable?.
I got told that the data in the window is from the broker until 3 months back, if one scrolls further back it just shows the downloaded metatrader data, is this true?

EDIT: I want to backtest manually, and don´t want to rely at the moment to the built-in backtesting tool of MT4.
