I send some money over to MQ5 to purchase an EA,

but when I tested the EA further it did not work

I tried to get $100 sent back to my bank card but I was informed that you can not withdraw funds after you have sent them to MQ5 

is this true?

dose any body know how to get funds sent back to themselves ?

Yes, you can only withdraw earned funds from MQL5 (from selling products or services in this website).

Also there is no refund option for MQL5 purchases, you should have tested the EA before you bought it.

I think you can get back your money if you are opting out of mql5.

You can't withdraw your MQL5 deposited funds, for any other questions contact the Service Desk.
