Several MT4 installations on same VPS server - MT4 crashes when accessing market tab in terminal windows

I observe unsystematic crashes of MT4 (latest version) when attempting to open the market tab from the terminal window (for exmaple, to run updates of EAs).

I have two VPS servers in different data centers. One each, several installations of MT4 from several brokers, and 3-4 MT4 instances running in parallel. CPU load on the VPS servers is in range < 10%, so the VPS server performance seems to be OK.

Thanks in advance to all who can advice on solutions.

I had same issue with MT5 and MT4 on Windows 7, and I managed to fix it -

How to Start with Metatrader 5

I just discovered about how to fix it:

go to the Journal in Metatrader to see the recommendation:

And I use this link to install the latest Internet Explorer:

and I got the Market tab -

So, if you do not see the Market tab on the latest build of Metatrader (or if you are having the error with this Market tab for example) - install (or re-install) Internet Explorer to the latest version (to the version 11 for example), and restart Metatrader after that.

Hello Sergey,

the journal log gives not a single error indication. IE11 is installed; however the VPS host provider activates by default high security settings. To me it doesn't matter as i never run any browser from VPS platform.

Do these IE settings really matter - is MT4 using parts of the IE program code or libraries behind?
