Greetings community,
I have very little experience, so I offer my apologies if asking something that I should have known already.
When I was in process of choosing broker, I was looking at things like commissions and spreads, without paying much attention to trading platform.
So, after opening the account and funding it, I followed instruction about downloading platform. Consequently, I ended up with MT4. It was fashioned by my broker, having their logo in program's icon. Server was prescribed so I only needed to enter my username and password.
Only recently I found out that there's new version called MT5, that could execute scirpts 20 times faster, and offers new interesting possibilities. So I was wondering, can MT5 client terminal access my broker's server? Can I download MT5 client terminal from this site, and configure it to access my broker's server, or it is up to my broker to firstly obtain new licence or even new software in order for me to use MT5 on their server?
