New MT5 Update Broke Backtesting?
Okay, balance and equity as a straight line should lead to the question: why does the EA take no trades?
- what does the log say?
- EA-settings? --> e.g. lot size too low or too high or incompatible with margin limitations (leverage 1:500 !), invalid stops... ?
- is it on purpose that you run the backtest with some asian account currency if your profile says you live in the Netherlands?
- does the tested symbol (here: EURUSD) also appear in the market list? (ctrl_m)
- same for the conversion from profit currency (here: USD) to that asian deposit currency --> the EA might also need the symbol USD/"AsianSymbol" to be listed in the market watch list (ctrl_m) --> if missing: search symbol after keyboard shortcut ctrl_u
Backtesting was working fine a few days ago, I sit down today and update MT5, then this occurs:

This has happened many times before, but it is a quick fix in the custom symbol settings for me. The usual fix did not work this time, so I tried default everything, EA, symbol, etc. and still it is not producing results.

Could the recent update have changed something? Does it still work for you?
