Whenever you make a decision(start or stop a trade on whatever conditions) there is a propability for the market to move up and there is a propability to move down e.g. to loose or win. The market itself is a blackbox, the propabilities are unknown. The trader is "guessing" and justifies his decision on the base of his "believe system". If  the trader losses or wins depends on the quality of his "believe system" e.g. skill.

So imho trading is a lot like poker. Short term its a luckgame but longterm the best strategy survives e.g. the heros skill vs. villains(all other market members) skill.

Its gambling, but gambling is only a problem when you are loosing.

Not really, of course you need luck, but then you will need a lot of skills.   If you look at the Signals Providers you will find that there are quite a number with 80% success rates.   Something that gambling will definitely not give you.   I would say of course there are risks especially in the real world, Ukraine, Cyprus, whatever, these will adversely affect your calculations.   However there are those experts that can measure sentiments and try to incorporate sentiments into their Forex strategies.

They are both exciting!

When you make a bet, its gambling. If the odds are with or against you does NOT matter.

I don't gamble and I try to base my decisions using statistical results.

So you are gambling and dont call it gambling? Cause gambling is a bad word and statistics is a good one?

 Also no word about chances.

You are lying to yourself when you are avoiding the G-word. Its gambling but it does not mean that you are a looser. Its good for you when your "believe system" gives you good odds, but changing the words is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newspeak or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doublespeak.

"War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength"

Peace (the right one, not the other)

Definition of gambling by TheFreeDictionary.com

I think there are no similarity between forex trading and Gambling, not even close..

Since we know in forex we could minimize the risk it self by having a good strategy and trading system not like Gambling which only count on our Luck..

I don't think it is a gamble if you have a strategy and a good money management.

It depends on what type of gambling you compare it with.

It's definitely not like  roulette, in which any strategy is a loser strategy long term, but it's very similar to poker or black jack, where there are winning strategies if applied correctly.
