I don't know whether it is forbidden or not.

If you do sell the same product, then it is only fair to inform purchasers so that there is no chance that they will buy the same product twice.

I think its forbidden , from the old days i recall being redirected to the service desk for arranging a profit spliting scheme between two sellers for a product.
