Metatrader 4 on Windows 10 64bit - page 2

Neither in System or Application log I see any involved Terminal.exe message

You say you have just installed the terminal but that the folder does not exist.

This is confusing, if it was installed, the folder should be there.

If you look at the properties of the shortcut on your desktop it should specify a target.

Does this target exist ? can you find the folder with terminal.exe in it ?

This is not necessarily AppData\Roaming\

I think it is all very strange you should be able to find the launch attempts in the logs.

this is what the link is pointing to:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\IG MetaTrader 4 Terminal\terminal.exe"

I know that I will seem a very dumb solution, but give it a try: go in that folder and rename ternimal.exe to terminals.exe, or something else...

And run it from Windoes Explorer...

;)

(x86) is the 32 bit folder but you are talking about 64 bit in your question.

It just keeps getting more confusing.

As far I know there is not MT4 64bit installation, the MT4 is always a 32bit app, but it should work anyway on Windows 10 64bit

i see and hae you tried MT5 ?
