Thanks for your reply. I've tried with the version of wine listed in the MT4 Mac instructions, the current latest edition, as well as the one in this thread. If theres somewthing else I'm supposed to do, it was lost in translation, as I'm not Ubuntu savvy. Mind clarifying it for me if I missed it?

Hello all! Looking forward to getting started with MT4, problem is, I cant get it installed!
I'm on a Mac, have gotten it to boot on PlayOnMac, and get the loading screen, but then am required to fill in information regarding my server, login and password. I made an Oanda account, and entered the information from my specifically MT4 compatible sub account, using it's personal login, and password as I did no problem on my phone. For some reason, this info is being rejected and it forces me to close the installer. The program never fully loads as everyone else seems to experience before needing to connect their broker account. I've scoured the web for two days trying to remedy this before coming here and am running dry.
I also couldn't figure out how to post in any specific directory of the forum cause n00b here. Please excuse wherever this ends up. Just looking for some help.
Thank you.
