i am doing an optimization more than 10k passes.

What if my PC hang or rebooted during optimization? Do i have to do it all over again?

Does it have save the result to a log file?

On the later builds of MT4, optimisation results are saved in a "cache" file, so you should be able to continue where you left off. There may be some recent results lost due to a flushing delay if there is a crash, but most for the results will be in the "cache" file in the ".\tester\caches\" folder.

All you have to do is start the optimisation again as normal and it will just automatically skip the runs/passes that are in the cache file and continue doing its thing. All the skipped results will be visible in the both the graph and tabular results as soon as it has carried out at least one pass.
