Are you 100% sure that you have a password to your SMTP (it's not so often)

Other thing, you wrote the same address into from and to. (maybe it can cause a problem)

Hi chandra,

Metatrader 4 is using a very simple smtp authentication and Gmail requires a secure ssl authentication format.

Therefore you should use an external smtp gateway like smtp2go.

changing the TO address does not solve the problem

i solved this problem by using settings for gmx.com

but can anyone tell me what smtp server i should use for gmail ?

if u know this setting for other mail service providers, plz share.

With the new build 645 it's possible to use GMAIL directly out of the MT4 Terminal.

The adress is smtp.googlemail.com

The ports are 465 for SSL and 587 for TLS
