Do you prefer to risk a fixed lot size or a percent of equity, balance or margin? Why?

Why did MQ move to percent of margin in the bottom of the equity graphs instead of lot size? Why do people choose percent of margin to determine lot size as apposed to a percent of equity or balance?

Hello,

I prefer to have a proportionate balance my risk ... to a certain capital.

When my balance reaches the capital that I have set myself, I prefer to have a minimum risk. :-)

Not to me. Lot size gives more useful info when I am analyzing a test. I can see margin is important on low leverage accounts as it becomes primary limiting factor of lot-size though. Anyone use margin % on high leverage account? If so, why?

For every 1000$ increase in balance i add 0.10 lot increase in future trades
