I am testing your EA TRIX Expert Advisor. I can't connect it to an instrument. It gives: Failedto create handle of the iCustom indicator for the symbol SBRF-9.17/PERIOD_H1, error code 4802.

What am I doing wrong? The indicator is installed separately and works.

Check:

  1. The indicator "TRIX ARROWS.mq5" should be located in the folder [data folder]\MQL5\Indicators\.
  2. The indicator name should be "TRIX ARROWS" - without the underscore.

Look at the messages in the terminal (window "Tools", tab "Experts"). There should be an answer there.

EA enters a trade if there are no open positions on the account, even for another instrument. Is this fixable? If there is an open position in another instrument, it only signals it

 

but in principle the EA is good. we still need to figure out how it closes positions, as the logic in the condition does not work. but there is not enough data yet.

Describe the situation in detail: name of the trading server, currency and balance of the trading account, leverage, full terminal log for the given date.

Explain the phrase "... if there is an open position in another instrument, it only signals": what balance and margin, free margin and what positions are open in this situation? What does it say in the "Experts" tab?
