It is degradation and loss of time to redesign MQL5 for MQL4. If you are still sitting on the old terminal, it is only your problem.

I would not be so categorical because there is almost no practical use of mt5 except FORTS exchange, and it is not suitable for the exchange, there are wild candle jumps, a completely different movement.

 
For some reason it does not pick up positions opened by another EA. Or does it only work on manual orders?

This EA works only with positions that have a unique identifier equal to the specified magic number.
