What is the fundamental difference between a list and a ...?

The cost of operations )

Re: Cool! The author has created a huge class that clearly goes beyond the scope of the demo. But the question arises: why, if the standard CList has already existed for a long time and works perfectly well?

If constructively, what is the fundamental difference between a list, an array, and a tree?

Let the "guru" answer. And we will listen. It will be his first meaningful post at last.

I'm not, are you?

It's all right. It's just that the "expert" has already pissed off with his lengthy comments.

It's just that the "expert" is getting fed up with his lengthy comments.
I was just making a point. Unlike some people who measure the coolness of an article by class sizes.

I'm on point. Unlike some people who measure the awesomeness of an article by class size.

You haven't said a word of substance yet.

Okay, we can argue for a long time. I offer you one of two things: either prove by a concrete example with code that I am wrong or go to... other forum thread.

You write that the main difference between a list, an array and a tree is the cost of an operation. And I say that the cost of operations is only a consequence of the organisation of their data. I.e. the fundamental difference is not in the cost of an operation but in the organisation of data. Either prove me wrong or shut up forever.
